Television was an accidental venture. Disney was interested in doing a film version of my book, “Midnight Lantern.” My husband Steve and I wrote a screenplay based on the book and flew out from New York to meet with Disney Execs in LA. Somewhere over Chicago, they changed their minds. (Welcome to Hollywood.) But our story had a happy ending. Television director Joel Zwick gave us an opportunity to write a spec TV script and, with his mentoring, we were hired as writers by Paramount Studios.

Steve and I wrote multiple shows for ABC and CBS. We started out as Story Editors and wound up as Executive Producers/show runners on the following shows.
